Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

1. About us

These terms apply to all training courses and services provided by SB Skills 4 Life Training ("we", "us", "our"). By booking a course you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are booking on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so.

2. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once we have received your enquiry, confirmed availability in writing (by email) and received payment or a purchase order. Course places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to refuse a booking at our discretion.

3. Fees and payment

All course fees are quoted in pounds sterling and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated. Payment is due in full before the course start date unless agreed otherwise in writing. Invoiced bookings (schools, nurseries and businesses) are payable within 14 days of invoice date.

4. Cancellations and refunds by you

  • More than 14 days before the course start date: full refund or free rescheduling.
  • 7–14 days before: 50% refund or one free reschedule.
  • Less than 7 days before, or non-attendance: no refund.

All cancellations must be made in writing to info@sbskills4life.co.uk.

5. Cancellations by us

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including instructor illness, low numbers or events of force majeure). Where we cancel, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation or other consequential costs.

6. Attendance and certification

To achieve certification, learners must attend the full course, complete all practical assessments and demonstrate the required competencies. Certificates will not be issued where attendance, conduct or competence is insufficient. Decisions on certification are at the instructor's professional discretion.

7. On-site courses

Where training is delivered at your premises, you are responsible for providing a suitable training environment (clean floor space for CPR practice, adequate lighting and ventilation, and access to toilet facilities). We will advise on minimum room requirements in advance.

8. Health and safety

Learners must inform us before the course of any medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy or other factors that may affect their ability to participate safely in practical activities. We may adapt activities or, where necessary, decline participation in specific exercises on safety grounds.

9. Intellectual property

All course materials, manuals and handouts remain the intellectual property of SB Skills 4 Life Training or our awarding bodies. Materials are provided for personal learning use only and may not be copied, distributed or used commercially without written permission.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with a course shall not exceed the fees paid for that course. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

11. Complaints

We aim to provide a high-quality service. If you have a complaint, please contact us in writing at info@sbskills4life.co.uk within 14 days of the course. We will acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and aim to resolve them within 28 days.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
